Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The custard bun is almost empty! Thereโs one milligram custard filled in the bun. We are never coming back! The quality of hong kong bakery went downhill. Our friends were saying the same! Bye bye

Charges 20% service fee on top of the after tax (10% tax!) amount and another 10% card fee. I thought this place would be a bargain but turned out to be a scam. I am definitely not going back to this place

We were visiting Philadelphia from Los Angeles and decided to stop byโand weโre so glad we did. We ordered the chicken dumplings and house fried noodles, and both were absolutely deliciousโperfect for dinner after a long day of exploring. Before leaving, we also grabbed a few savory buns for breakfast the next morning, and they were just as great. They had an amazing variety of buns and sweets, and everything looked fresh and tempting (about $3 each). Definitely worth a visit if youโre in Philly!

Sad to be writing this review because I want to support Chinatown small businesses, but they need to step it up if they want to survive. The baos here are the worst I have ever had - and Iโve gotten baos from Chinese bakeries up and down the east coast and I donโt recall ever being so disappointed in what I thought was a pretty simple and common item. The roast pork bao barely had any filling, it was mostly bao and air. The custard bun was the same - except the flavor of the custard was not nearly sweet enough, barely had custard flavor, and was an odd, flat non-creamy texture. Didnโt even bother wasting my calories for this Despite having a craving for bao when I stepped in to buy it. The egg tart I got also was not filled enough (top was concaved) and the crust was lackluster. Will not be returning.

I bought some chinese bun here fews days ago, and it was not the best I ever eaten. They were dry, the filling ( red bean) was hard and not melted. Also, it was only in the center, so it was not soft at all. If you expect amazing soft and well made chinese bun , it's not quite the place...! But the service was really nice, talkative and kind. Also my order was wrong. I got the wrong flavor buns.
